The Project

I've had an excellent idea to expose myself, and maybe others, to great new music in the new year. In the past, my friends have been responsible for introducing me to someone of my all time favorite bands, and I figured maybe now it was time to ASK them for introductions.

In 2009, I'm going to participate in a project. I want my music loving friends to compile a list of 25 albums. They can be your all time favorites, your current favorites, your guilty pleasures. . . anything. As long as it's 25 albums of music you like. Send me your list, and every month I will go through 1-3 lists (depending on how many I get). I will likely review the selections on this blog just to compare how much I already knew off the list, what I discovered I really liked, and what I didn't.

I'll also be posting my own list, so if you'd like to join in, you can add it to your rotation. If you want to submit your list, either send it to me via Facebook, or at ashley@ashleymaclennan.com

Notes on symbols:
bold indicates a selection I have listened to. For albums that appear on multiple lists, I will count them as having been listened to after the initial selection.
* indicates an album that needs to be purchased or downloaded in order to complete the list
